Hiring a day boat is a great way to  enjoy the Gippsland Lakes

Anyone can Hire a Day Boat! - You DO NOT require a Boat Licence
for most boats within our fleet (except the “Warrior”).

The Director Boat Charters has a great range of day boats with hire prices starting at $70.00 for 1 hour. Enjoy waterskiing or take a short trip to the other side of the bay for some fishing. Or pack a picnic and drift away in the charming older style day boat ‘Dodger’.

“Warrior”

Our newest boat to the fleet, the Warrior has a superb ride and on water performance is what you get from the stylish 5.30m Warrior Frontrunner.

The Warrior features a soft, quiet ride in a boat which is big on style and comfort. The superb ride quality comes from the unique Polyethylene hull construction.

A rear fold down lounge, front lounge and two upholstered swivel seats ensure a relaxing day out on the water for all passengers. Versatility and style helps make the Warrior the ultimate family and weekend recreational boat.

The Warrior boat Features:
Anchor wel, lBait board, Bait Box, Bow, hand and boarding Rails, Carpeted floor, Boarding ladder, Fold down rear lounge, Rod holders (x4), Fish Finder and Front hatch storage Hydraulic steering.

Note you will need a current Victorian or NSW Boat Licence for the “Warrior” and it is licensed to carry 6 passengers.

“Poly Craft”

16 foot front runners are very stable and easy to handle and are the ideal boat for 5 or less people. The Poly craft is powered with a 15 horsepower outboard and is steered via a forward mounted steering wheel. The Poly Craft is spacious, carrying you in comfort with the bow rider style of cockpit covered with a bimini top.

“Persuader”

Is our largest Day Boat, a lovely 22 foot fibreglass cabin cruiser. Persuader has comfortable seating for up to 8 persons (the boat limit is 8 persons), and is perfect for half or full day hire. Facilities include toilet, gas stove (with kettle!), depth sounder/fish finder, radio/cd player. Perfect for a day out cruising or fishing on the lakes.

Persuader is also available for overnight hire – up to 4 people can sleep on the boat. It has a double bed forehead and 2 singles in the rear. All bedding, linen & towels provided, as well as tea and coffee and picnic plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery etc.

“Dodger”

A fibreglass lakes fishing boat complete with canvas bimini, steering wheel and 15 hp mercury outboard. Spacious, stable and easy to handle, Dodger is licensed to carry 6 persons in comfort. All day boats are kept clean and in excellent running order.  A full tank of fuel is included in the price.  No experience is needed and we supply all lifejackets, safety equipment and a comprehensive briefing and training.
